DEXes are far superior to CEXes. It's only a matter of time before they become the top way people trade and acquire their crypto.
Example 732823: The "MiCA dance"
Everyone once in a while I get some user telling me that some exchange, on-ramp, service, etc. has quietly removed Dash. Even when we're closely collaborating with these services, they don't even give us the courtesy of informing us. 😒
I then have to scramble to make enough noise that someone high enough in the company will pay attention so I can send a legal opinion letter saying they have no legal need to delist.
Not long after this, I typically get a message saying "Ok sorry, our bad, Dash is re-enabled." 🙄
Contrast that with a DEX where when you're in, you're in. Build and merge the integration, get liquidity, integrate, and you're good to go.
The CEX model is obsolete and will go away. You heard it here first.
Wow, that sounds like hell!
DEXs will eat CEXs, it's only a matter of time.
UI/UX has been improving and as crypto adoption widens, on-ramps will become less important and CEXs biggest solution will fall out of demand!
Well there's a huge difference, capital protection, DEXes haven't any...
A DEX is not responsible for keeping your crypto safe.
It's self-custody, trades settle peer-to-peer, that's the whole point, no?
You're right
What capital protection do you need?
Absolutely.
when DEXs have the hability of buy crypto with credits cards that will the day CEXs will be finished.
What if the credit card of tomorrow is a stablecoin?
For that people have to start see crypto different, not like a way to increase their amount of FIAT. It is difficult to change ingrained customs. Banks accounts and credit cards are two of them.
