Yeah, if you have the space to put it, it's a great way to go. Even if you are just offsetting the cost and using something like an automatic transfer switch to swap from off to on grid when the batteries are low. Or use a grid-tie inverter to go from the solar directly into the wall to offset the power usage.

I can use just the garden with 2 or 3 panels and could go directly into the wall. There are plug and play systems out there but they cost around €400.
