I mean, they might as well at this point. The music industry is dead as we used to know it. Streaming services made sure of that. Now we don't own any of our collections, and it cost and arm and a leg to go to a concert. But I certainly would never pay to see any kind of 'AI artist' live. Hell, I don't even want to pay the money DJs and producers are charging now to see them hit some buttons.
That being said, I use Suno AI to make music for my drone videos so I don't have to deal with copyright issues on those videos but it has never produced anything I would think is worthy of 'release'. But of course people's musical tastes really suck for the most part anyway, so whatever, let the bots have it, lol. I used an AI mixing tool at the last drone event to play playlists and such so I could actually enjoy the event, so gotta lean into it somehow.
