The recent tariff that was impose on the Chinese goods on 10th October, 2025. This tariff brought a massive crack on the crypto market which we saw different news how traders were complaining about the crash, some even went on to commit sucide because of the amount of money the lost.
The liquidations, which affected major exchanges like Hyperliquid, Bybit, Binance, OKX and others as of Friday afternoon by 12:00 pm (WAT) made a lot of losses for those that traded perpetual futures.
According to Coinglass, 302,937 traders were liquidated $1.21 billion. $916.70M on long and $272.82M on short.
Bitcoin (BTC) was the most hit, with a sharp decline to 104,000 dollars. BTC had the highest record of $453.17M with $331.88M on long and $121.30M on short.
ETH followed suit with the liquidation of $277.06M with $199.88M long and $77.18M short.
Other tokens joined with the total of $102.95M, with $88.67 long and $14.27M short.
Major Exchanges are:
Hyperliquid: $385.59M in total and $235.10M long and $150.49M short with the rate of 32.42%
Bybit: $300.65M in total and $268.15M long and $32.50M short with the rate of 25.28%.
Binance: $259.63M in total and $201.12M long and
$58.51M short with the rate 21.83%
OKX: $101.91M in total and $83.90M long and $18.01M short with the rate of 8.57%.
With other exchanges contributing to about $120M, exchanges like Gate, HTX, CoinEx, Bitmex, and Bitfinex.
