When doing business, people often assume that main success is when you have connections with CEOs, high level mangers, and other rich men. Some people even spend their entire life trying to build relationship with the rich people, but ignoring the individuals he's sees everyday around him. The truth of this networking is that real opportunities do come from people you don't even expect.

Some of the biggest doors in life are not opened by top executives or rich men around but are opened simple people around, like receptionist, cleaners, drivers and staff members who people do not even know their names or even heard of them.
These are the people that handle the office schedules, manages the office, and filter comminution and even interact daily and directly with discission maker of a company. You see these guys, they are not just staff, they are the solid pilers of a company, and the way you treat them can determine where your name will be mentioned.
To respect is a powerful tool, especially in our country like Nigeria were we value respect more than anything. Respect is just like a currency that doesn't losses it's value overtime. When you treat people around you with kindness and dignity they never forget how good you are. This builds a reputation that even your cv cannot match. Having a good character makes you a step ahead of others. Good characters has opened doors to others where even their qualifications could not open. Just one simple act of respect to someone can turn you from being a stranger to a loyal partner or even recommending you for an higher position.
Many times the opportunity we are praying for everyday is in the hands of someone we might overlook. The person at thr front desk may be thr one who thr CEO has allowed to decide who gets the contract.
This junior staff may be the one who tell the manger about your proposal and why he should select you over others. Especially the PA, they are the one their master listen to the most, depending on how good you are to them will relate if they will whisper your name to their boss.
Humility is very powerful and greeting peiple warmly, speak politely and acknowledge their effort, all this is not to impress but gradually building invisible bridges that joins them to the rich others are struggling to meet. This bridge become the partway for opportunities you didn't even believe they were coming.
Networking is not just about you chasing big titles, but it's about you establishing better human relationship and connections with people. Most people do want to help the people that makes them feel valued.

I will end this by saying that we should treat people with respect because it's thr right way to live. The best way to reward kindness is to reward them with referring them to people that will help them. So be nice and God will help you reach many rich people.
