In the past, there would be an increase in BTC and some altcoins first, then a flow of funds from those coins into altcoins, creating an altcoin season. This would significantly reduce BTC dominance and usher in a bear market. There is data suggesting we've already entered a bear market. Previously, a bear market entered a bear market even when BTC dominance was this high and there was no altcoin bull run.
