The failure of ust led to a temporal step back since it was the most used stable coin. I believe hbd has a chance for longevity but algorithmically, it's still susceptible to the hacks that happened to us. This has to be solved before mainstream traction comes to play.

To go mainstream, hbd will have to be traded on major markets. What happens when hbd gets shorted for relatively a long time by big market movers
When it gets shorted, as a community, we buy it. If I can buy $1 for $0.75 AND earn 20%, I'd do that as much as possible. Unlike other blockchains, having a blogging platform built-in to Hive allows us to coordinate as a community much easier than other blockchains.
I too am now more afraid of stablecoins since the UST collapsed. However, I have some confidence in HBD
