1st of June my wife has given birth to a healthy baby girl. She was 52 cm in height, weighing 3.2 kgs that time.
As an expectant parents we did prepare for everything from monthly / bi-monthly check-ups, ultra sound, vitamins etc and they are quite costly per se. Especially the vitamins as they need to be taken daily.
My wife has type 2 diabetes so we made sure that whatever her OB-Gyne advised her to take and also her endocrinologist would suggest may it be lab test, insulin shots and blood sugar testing we comply.
We are both working full time and I can say that our salary is above the minimum wage here in our country. But still, it isn't enough to cover our expenses plus the upcoming delivery as we anticipate that she will have a caesarean section.
The said operation cost around 100,000.00 pesos roughly $2,000.00 or more depending on the hospital where the procedure would take place. Some says that we can just go to the local clinic / lying in for her to give birth as it wouldn't be that much or in the public hospital but we decided not to as the facilities may not be able to accommodate the emergency procedure.
We saved some money for the operation but it is not enough, so I decided to power down my account around March of this year. Making sure that I will have some leeway if in case that she will be giving birth earlier than her due date. Her due date was 12th of June as per her last ultra sound.
Around that time, HIVE and LEO tokens are gaining it's momentum and I am glad that it helped me out on paying for the bills that we had.
In total I think, I was able to cash-out more than $2,000.00 in fiat with Hive and Leo which gave us spare money to buy some of the stuff needed by our baby.
Also, we invested some of our earnings in our footwear business operating online here in the country.

Ou nako sobrag needed ng extra money ngayon. Grabe din kasi ang costly talaga ng pagpapa anak ngayon. Isama pa ang diapers, gatas at vitamins. Di na sasapat ang regular job ngayon.
