Paymaya | Integration of Crypto to the Local Philippine E-Wallet.

in LeoFinance3 years ago

As more and more people get interested in cryptocurrency in the Philippines. A lot of financial agencies are looking into tapping the market.

Coins.PH has been the front-runner in the said field as they are the main application that was used by the majority of people that are venturing into the crypto-verse here in the country. Now there are some other competitors like Pdax and Abra but compared to the number of users Coins.PH is still the number 1 go-to place to some.

Having said that, Paymaya as one of the most used mobile wallets in the country second to GCASH introduced added a new interface in the mobile wallet.

To be honest, I love this new program that they had implemented as I had multiple issues with Coins. ph that already restricted my account.

The new addition to the application is the introduction of cryptos. In the app, you can already buy and sell some popular cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, and Ethereum which make buying crypto more accessible to the masses.

I myself am using Paymaya to pay for the services that we had availed of such as internet bills, groceries, and even government services.

Its competitor GCASH had announced that it will be implementing the same service soon but nonetheless, they haven't introduced it yet and it is not yet showing in the apps.

Per the article from Bitpinas here are some of the crypto that can be bought and sold on the app.

  • Bitcoin
  • Ether
  • LINK
  • ADA (Cardano)
  • MATIC
  • DOT
  • UNI
  • SOL
  • USDT
  • Quant

What's in it for some:

As I have shared it will be easier for the adoption to masses as the identification process that is required by Paymaya isn't that strict compared to Coins. PH. ( Based on my experience ) plus there's no need to set up a new wallet/account anymore.

Will I be using the new feature?

Yes definitely, since Paymaya has been one of my main e-wallet next to GCASH I will definitely use it. Probably my plan is to buy at least $10.00 per payday some crypto whichever I decided to and then stuck them there for some time. Since I am always adding funds to the app for my groceries because of the rebates that we receive.

Each time that you use the app and pay at least there's a rebate of 10% for the purchase! So it is a steal already right?

That's all that I can share and hopefully to some of my Pinoy folks consider using this app too! Maybe this one will be a better alternative to Coins.ph

Oh, what were the problems you encountered in Coins PH? Adam had issues with the app limits too. You got the same problem? I was fond of Coins PH pa naman, kasi may gift checks haha.

Yay! 🤗

Nice ito. I !LUV the Paymaya UI, and yes I'm thinking of deleting coins.ph on my phone already, after I try one more time to get my account sorted out. Sobrang hassle talaga ang ginagawa nila.

Sounds like a useful app.
