I want to re-start my learning in one of the languages I once studied but now completely forgot. I still need to improve my English but I think I've learned enough to practice along with a new one. Which of these would you suggest?

German is cool on hive and if you leave in Europe, i speak both german and italian and i must say italian is almost useless
Hmmm, I liked Italian for the sound, and I speak Spanish so it's easy to understand, but I've never needed even to translate something from Italian.
These days....Mandarin might be a very good idea lol
Actually yeah haha. I helped with some translations, one for an invoice on a company and one for a tattoo haha, back when I was actively learning it and had Chinese friends around to proof read what I did.
It depends on what you want to learn it for. Perhaps the least useful is Italian. But I would choose it because I like its sonority. I also like French and Portuguese. But in these times it wouldn't be bad to learn Mandarin;)
Knowing Spanish, English, and Chinese will be a great combination when talking about any business. I've seen the worse translations made to and from Chinese because it is culturally too unique for the translator to capture the essence
German 100%, mandarin and japanese are too hard and italian is worthless, german will be useful as fuck
I already studied all of them for some time and I found spoken Chinese easier than it looks. The writing on the other hand... German is more complex but it's easier to pronounce. Culturally German is easier too...
This should depend on you but well, i would suggest German.
How are you learning tho? using Duo?
I'll do the same I did with English... learning by myself with multiple sources of information and doing an immersion on media content on the language.
I'll see if I can get a teacher too.
Duo... I always forget about it hahaha
Haha. Duo has been a great help so far so me. But getting a teacher would also be ideal.
It all depends too on how much I can immerse myself in the language while not leaving my room. With English it's pretty easy, it's everywhere.
Duo need internet and last time I tried I didn't have it. Now I have internet but not the app😅
😅 You're right, the internet connection can be a barrier.
