Hi guys, I'm George and I'm still playing Gods unchained. Big news this weekend. Gu is finally a REAL Play to Earn NFT Game. 3 big changes are coming feb 4th:
Card pack rewards: WE Ranked card pack rewards are being updated to discourage deranking and encourage climbing to the top. Yeah, I never did it, but I thought about it many times. It was really frustrating to see High ranked players play in lower rank during the event. My Thanks to the dev team for this feature.
$GODS rewards: Yeah. Blessing of the $GODS ended, but the dev wanted to ensure that players can still earn $GODS through playing GU. Blessing of the $GODS won’t be extended as it was too exploitable by bots and bad peeps. The main goal behind integrating the $GODS rewards with WE Ranked is to require those that are seeking to earn $GODS to play in a more efficient way. By linking the rewards to the first 25 WE Ranked matches, the dev team expect that it will be harder for accounts to earn $GODS if they aren’t playing strategically.
Matchmaking updates: Matching players could be quite a mess sometimes with GU. Some WE I end up playing against real GODS that will obliterate my deck. So the dev team updated the matchmaking system to prioritize matching players of the same rank. If no match is found within 60 seconds, players will be matched one rank above or below. This will apply to all matches going forward, not just Weekend Ranked.
How much and How?
Players who win more matches during the WE Ranked event will earn more $GODS. Given that the competitive difficulty increases (too much some will say) as you rise the ranks, lower ranks will have access to fewer $GODS and will need to win more matches in order to earn rewards. This ensures it is desirable to continue to climb the ranks, instead of encouraging you to deliberately drop rank. Ok continue you have my attention now.
The total pool of $GODS available during WE Ranked will work differently to Blessing of the $GODS. The dev team will adjust the size of the pool depending on how many eligible players there are compared to the previous WE Ranked event. This means that each week the size of the pool will change.
- Base $GODS Reward Pool: 100,000
- Maximum $GODS Reward Pool: 210,000
- If the number of eligible players increases compared to the previous week:
- 20% or greater increase in eligible players: 6875 more $GODS
- 10% to 20% increase in eligible players: 5500 more $GODS
- 5% to 10% increase in eligible players: 4400 more $GODS
- 0% to 5% increase in eligible players: No change in $GODS pool
- If the number of eligible players decreases compared to the previous week:
- 0% to 10% decrease in eligible players: 4400 less $GODS
- 10% to 20% decrease in eligible players: 5500 less $GODS
- 20% or greater decrease in eligible players: 6875 less $GODS
Not sure what those numbers will give and how they will influence the rewards, but let's give it a try.

Let's see if I can still make some $GODS. It's really disappointing that there are always people trying to manipulate the system. I guess most new players have no chance to earn tokens anymore.
