This story is the continuation of the one started in @tyrnis/exode-aririne-exploration-report. It's a description of the Aririne planet exploration, part of EXODE game, the Hive game developed by @elindos.
EXODE is a space colonization card game, in which you build a deck composed of an Origin (similar to a Faction), a Ship, your crew, your passengers, and your cargo. In eXode, after managing to escape a space station attacked by unknown aliens, you will be reaching a new galaxy, from there manage to land on a planet and start colonizing it. The last feature released is the Away Teams, we are currently in Step 1, and the Dangers were released recently.
Research Officer, Bas Aergban, surpervising analysis of the sample collected on Planet NG-23950023, Aririne.
The spaceship Orwell-1, class Ark-ship, landed on planet Aririne 12 days ago, since then exploration teams have been send in several parts of the planet to study it and understand its dangers. In the laboratory, the accumulation of samples is starting to reach unbearable amount. Bas Aergban, the Research Officer of the crew, has been doing his best managing his team of analysts, but couldn't keep the sampling rate from the Exploration team.
Finally, after 12 days of works, first results passed through. The faces of the researchers were demonstrating their lack of sleep, and a hint of despair could be guessed from the way they were looking at each other. The officer got up, made a brief node to his team, took the tablet displaying the results, and went to this the Captain.

"Bas! Come in, come in! I hope you have good news, the last reports from Achen was quite worrisome."
"Thank you, Captain... Can I start my report?"
"Yes, of course, go ahead!"
"We finalized the analysis of the samples collected by the Exploration team. We have analysed samples from Vomite Woodland, Nauseous Steamplains, and Telophe Fields."
"Great! I guess you meant Vamite Woodland and Noshus Steamplains, didn't you?"
"Oh! Yes, indeed, my apologies, I am quite tired."
"It's fine, it's fine, please continue Officer."
"Yes Captain. The samples from Telophe Fields indicate a non negligible part of the edible looking materials are actually non-edible, they are infected with some bacteria. We believe that sterilization may solve the issue. The main issue is how we can sterilize these materials without destroying also the nutritive elements."
"I see, I am sure you will find a solution."
"We are already investigating this, Joan Nais, our Xeno Analyst, knows a primitive method based on a medium temperature sterilization. He calls this "Cooking", I have no clue what this means but this could help."
"Perfect! Let's try this "Cooking" as soon as possible!"
In 2325, "Cooking" is almost an unknown word, all the food consumed so far by the crew members have been processed food like pills and powders.
"Well, compared to Achen's report, that's quite soft! Please continue this good work!"
"... Can I continue my report, Captain?"
"Oh, it's not finished? ... Go ahead..."
"All the organic samples we collected are infected by a bug specie, this one transfer its eggs with a bite. After incubation, the host specie start to mutate. We didn't find any counter measure against it, except walls, and high quality armors. Low quality armor are not enough to protect against it. We are investigating to see if we can develop a drug to cure it and prevent incubation."
"... All samples? ... Is this specie active during a specific period of time? Or at a specific location?"
"If always and everywhere are specific enough for you, Captain, then yes..."
The Captain sat down, dizzied by this horrific news. Without waiting for his approbation, Bas continued:
"We are looking for new ways to kill these bugs... Would you like to know more?"
Days after days Aririne continue to look quite dangerous. It's quite funny, I was not expecting another Deadly (Red) danger after the 2 found in the previous report. I wonder what will be the next ones.

Good thing is that you have a good team to figure out solutions against such a danger. But is creepy and seems quite a hell to be in. Good luck captain. I'm interested though, would be nice to see more about your crew 😄.
