I dont think anybody will come up with the words either.
But there will come a point, as you stated, that they will have decide to invest or not. Yes, they are very highly intelligent people and with the current course of action(s), they can see that and know they will be forced to make that decision soon.
If they dont, the system will slowly eat its self.
The ball is in their court. Do they attempt to fix it and make a galant effort to be the hero's of Hive?

Do they let it burn down around them with people watching and knowing that they had the power to possibly make it better than ever?
