One of the reasons Steemit grew well is that they had a roadmap which everyone could understand. Hive is more decentralised and roadmaps are scarce/invisible.

Kinda the Achilles Heel of decentralization: It's means nobody is in charge, and I know (only too well!) from non-profit management that "decision making by committee" tends to be cumbersome and moves at a glacial pace...
We need to develop new forms of collaboration and agreements between teams.
So far no attempt has been made at this, from what I can see.
