With 21 months of profitable Tribes token curation on Hive blockchain, I can say that it is the least risky investment option on Hive at the second layer level that promises high returns. Within the past 21 months, the least curation for a second layer token I've curated with was 30% while I've also enjoyed the highs of 280% APY. SO far, I've had about 10 hive-engine tokens in my curation portfolio and do review their stakes regularly depending on the development within the community, the usecases developed for the token and price parameters.
While providing liquidity in Dieselpools could attract over 500% APY, however, the risk is high compared to curation. For me, staking tokens for curation allows me to HODL the tokens longterm to when the price would allow for profit taking while also taking daily curation rewards and or staking rewards or participation in the DAO governance of the tribe. Asides manual curation, Hive blockchain has infrastructures like curation trail where you follow an active curator to help trigger upvotes on quality posts while you take your profits while not actively involved in the curation activities. However, this option comes with its downside which is the downtime of the curation dapp used.
Recently, @Flauwy announced a top notch business module for the 1UP community known as 1UP -CARTEL. Among the several business formula proposed was the Curation-Cartel where top high volumes of top performing tokens in hive-engine are bought and powered up from CARTEL sales for curation while the CARTEL holders get periodic returns. This module would help incentivize quality posts in the hive tribes while also serving as an anti-abuse legion. It is a long term investment option that looks decent for anyone who is interested.
The test case for the curation exercise is the success of his first curation service - @monster-curator, which is one of the most well known delegated SPT accounts on the HIVE blockchain, rewarding thousands of great Splinterlands authors for the past two years and has been helpful in cleaning up the community from abusive behaviours. The Ucration-Cartekl therefore offers to expand the curation portfolio to cover other tokens like #LeoFinance, #SPT, #CTP, #CINE, #PALnet, #ProofOfBrain, #Archon, #NeoxAG, #Hive-Engine and others. A fee of 5% only is charged from the curation returns to delegators which is used to fund @curation-cartel account for more dividends to CARTEL holders. The 5% fee is planned to form a funding for a permanent liquidity for dieselpools for ONEUP. The curation-CARTEL service has Three Phases quoted below from @Flauwy's post
Phase 1
Starting today, we are offering the following accounts to delegate to, which will begin paying out curation rewards as passive income to delegators as soon as curation rewards are coming in. (It takes 7-14 days to stabilize and then create a relatively constant revenue stream for the participants. There is also a 24h payout freeze, after delegating for the first time to each account.)
Phase 2
In the second phase, which is currently in development, we will offer a smart voting system for whitelisted curators. We are onboarding some of the most active and reputable community members on HIVE, who have shown in the past their value through their content and engagement. These users will be able to call our curation accounts to any post on the blockchain and distribute all eligible tribe upvotes to the most deserving authors.
Phase 3
Phase 3 will also include a dashboard for curators, showing voting power of all our curation accounts and help to manage and organize all these accounts. I will not reveal too much about this phase, but it will basically pick up what the very first iteration of 1UP from three years ago was originally intended for. It will be a cool alternative for curation on the HIVE blockchain and create a much more efficient system to handle our voting power and assign upvotes to authors.
This curation option assures investors of passive earnings. That is, they get rich without literally working asides staking their tokens and delegating to the CARTEL curation accounts. All you need to do is buy and stake a preferred token used in the thumbnail and delegate the token to the curation account. Then, start receiving your curation rewards after 24 hours.
