Tether Restructures its Mission
Tether, the largest company in the digital asset industry, and issuer of the most famous crypto stablecoin - USDT, has announced the restructuring and expansion of its mission towards delivering a range of infrastructure solutions for a more inclusive world.
Over the years, Tether has established itself as a brand to reckon with in the digital assets space. Beyond being the leading stablecoin provider in the industry, Tether has also worked with communities across several geographical jurisdictions to provide a solid foundation for the expression of the possibilities of decentralization.
In its plan to foster resilient, future-ready financial systems, Tether has created its framework covering four new and distinct business divisions including Data, Finance, Power, and Edu(cation). This expansion marks a paradigm shift from its well-established USDT stablecoin and it's a worthy cause towards financial empowerment and tech innovation.
The new development at Tether will focus on providing sustainable solutions to individuals, communities, cities, and countries in a way that can be tailored to their needs. moreover, this expanded mission of Tether would also cater for responsible Bitcoin mining, Artificial Intelligence infrastructure, and decentralized communication platforms, among others.

1. Tether Data
Tether Data is focused on development and strategic investments in emerging technology divisions including artificial intelligence and peer-to-peer platforms like Holepunch, Keet, and Pear Runtime. Tether Data seeks to push the boundaries of possibility in the digital age.
2. Tether Finance
Tether Finance is focused on the development of digital asset services. This covers Tether’s traditional stablecoin products and financial services aiming to democratize the global financial system. Tether Finance will continue to leverage blockchain technology to build unstoppable financial infrastructure, as well as push for mainstream adoption of digital assets.
3. Tether Power
Tether Power is concerned with sustainable Bitcoin Mining and Energy. Tether would ensure Bitcoin mining operations in a way that aligns with responsible practices. This is to secure the integrity of the world’s most robust monetary network.
4. Tether Edu
Tether Edu, short for Tether Education is focused on digital education and advancement transformation. The goal is to expand global access to digital skills education. This Division of Tether will ensure awareness and proficiency in digital assets and related cutting-edge technologies. Tether Edu will foster public-private partnerships such as Lugano’s Plan B as well as investments into platforms such as the Academy of Digital Industries.
