API nodes, not witnesses, create that bandwidth for the network, or am I mistaken? The situation as I understand it is that full nodes aren't availed any compensation for providing that service, as (I assume) it was just assumed that witnesses would do that. As hardware exponentially improves we can hope that BT improves software commensurate to such nodes being potential to more and more ordinary folks. My hope is that every user becomes such a node in the future, truly decentralizing Hive from a bandwidth perspective.
