The beauty of all of this is that we are accomplishing all of this on HIVE despite not having smart contracts. We are strong in what is called Layer 0; the community. I'm honestly out of liquidity to keep up with all these projects going on. I have already put everything I have into crypto. But I never had much. So it is still a small portfolio. Without smart contracts, work arounds are being developed. The challenge is that trust is required which then brings in third party risk.
However, as one said, this is no different from the rest of the world so there is that.
Little by little we are making progress.

We can even see different solutions being created to work around the lack of smart contracts. There is nothing stopping the creation of decentralized chains on top of HIVE that feature smart contracts. I think @aggroed is already working on this.

H-E already has smart contracts, the problem is that it is not decentralized.
