Trying to get rid of my HODL mentality.
It starts to feel like my old friend 'frugality'.

Since my last post in this community, two and a half weeks ago, so much has happened...
In that write up, DINO meets LEO, I talked about my changed attitude towards Hive, that had long been coming:
a shift from blogging for crypto ( I have always been a storyteller ) to a more crypto investing / passive income kind of mindset. More on that in that post.
It's fair to say that his strategy change has been an effect of the sinking price of Hive, as well as an overall tendency to spend less time online and more time outdoor --> to feel happier and healthier.
It's interesting though that, shortly after that changed approach, one main source of passive income that I'd invested in gave me a little scare:
The WLEO-ETH pair on Uniswap got hacked and I lost my WLEO and about all my Ethereum.
Luckily, I wasn't betting on a single horse ( sorry Bitcoin, not that I don't love you ).
Around that same time, I had sold all my BTC, exchanged it for other coins, mainly ETH and LEO.
Suddenly I had no more BTC, hardly any ETH ( just about enough to pay some Gas fees ) and no more WLEO, as well as a lot less LEO ( transformed to WLEO and then lost ).
The day the hack happened, I decided to do the opposite of sitting in front of my computer. I even deleted my Discord app from my phone.
Instead I went to a river beach with a bunch of friends and my sister's family and tried to not think about crypto. We had a fun day and it helped to distract me.

From the next day onwards, after checking out Discord again, it became clear to me that @khaleelkazi - the mastermind behind Leofinance - has been extremely communicative and transparent. In fact, the Leofinance community overall has been very positive and upbeat. Not losing any trust, not running away but, instead, putting even more trust in the future of Leofinance and LEO. I decided to do the same.
There's so much development going on in this community and - as mentioned before - communication is as good as it can be, especially if you know that there's mainly men in this group ( sorry guys ).
I am starting to see more and more that this is what life is all about:
"communication"
As someone who has been struggling with depression for a big chunk of my life, I can only repeat how important it is to express ourselves.
Depression is the opposite of expression.
_ some wise person _
Let's keep our communication as open and honest as we can and stay positive. Overcoming challenges and enjoying the ride is what life is all about.
Keep up the good work @leofinance !✨

I seem to think about shifting strategies on a daily basis. I came to Steem/Hive for the blogging and the possibility to earn a little while doing so. As you say, the price of Hive and the problems still plaguing the chain after the HF has me re-thinking that direction. I do like Leo and have been upping my stake there for a while.
In the end I will probably keep blogging and also start expanding my knowledge of crypto investing. Right now I'm looking to stick my fingers in a lot of pies and see what works for me. :)

The blockchain - and possibly the world in general - sure teaches us to be flexible these days. Leo sure seems to be a good investment.
The main thing is to keep doing what makes you happy, as much as you can.
Enjoy the pies!

I'm sorry for your loss, here many have lost large amounts betting on WLEO, but taking into account the development and research that is being carried out we will have safer projects in the not too distant future within the platform, greetings Dino rapper haha

Cheers man. It seems like our loss will be compensated. Pretty awesome from the Leofinance team. It's indeed clear that projects will be even safer in the future but - let's be honesty - safety can be pretty boring and risks are what makes life exciting ;<)
See you around!

It's inspiring to read that you managed to get over this hurdle. Going out it nature really helped you Vincent!
Inspiration is my middle name. Feel free to call me vinspiration ;<)
I actually go out in nature daily but I might have upped it a little lately.
Big hug!

Vinspiration, that's a very catchy name
I decided to do some HODL on Hive and investing on what I can spare changes. Since I can say that I am a crypto-noob having folks discussing graphs, charts etc. confuses me. The only pie that I know is eggpie and apple pie the :)

Luckily for you there's non tech people on here, like me ( creatives who ended up in crypto and found a way out of the system ), as well as many good writers / vloggers with lots of knowledge about crypto and investing :<)
P.S. There's nothing wrong with a good apple pie, especially if it can be bought with crypto.

That's quite a positive attitude in the face of diversity. Sorry you lost some crypto, that's never good news. These days it seems I blog on Hive just to keep up with inflation. I think it's been months since my account went up in value.
