Greetings, everyone!
My name is Joziah Thayer, and I’m a journalist, historian, and activist with a lifelong commitment to uncovering the truth, especially in matters often shrouded in secrecy or distorted by mainstream narratives. I specialize in analyzing geopolitical conflicts, particularly in regions like the Middle East and Africa, where power, resources, and human lives intersect in deeply complex and often devastating ways. A simple yet powerful belief drives my work: the public deserves transparency, accountability, and access to the full story—not just the version that serves corporate or political interests.
To give you a bit of background, I’m the founder of the WEDA Coalition, now rebranded as Dissentopia. This platform was born out of frustration with the dominant narratives pushed by major media outlets and a desire to provide an alternative space for adversarial journalism. Through Dissentopia, I’ve built a network of independent thinkers, journalists, and activists who are united by a shared mission: to challenge the status quo, expose systemic injustices, and highlight the human cost of policies driven by profit and control.
Much of my work has focused on the consequences of Western interventions. From the ongoing crises in Yemen and the rise of Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula to the neo-colonial exploitation of Africa’s resources, I’ve dedicated my career to peeling back the layers of complex conflicts.
My background in history and anthropology has taught me that the past is more than a series of events; it’s a lens through which we can better understand our present and shape a more just future. I approach journalism with this same mindset, connecting historical context to current events to help readers grasp the broader implications of the stories I cover. My work is disseminated freely with no copy right restrictions and no monetization, so if you search my name you are likely to find my work published on numerous websites.
I’ve never been afraid to take an adversarial stance because I believe it’s essential in the fight for truth. Whether it’s exposing the hypocrisy of Western foreign policies, challenging the ethics of corporate-driven war, or amplifying the voices of those most affected by conflict, my goal is to inform and empower. I firmly believe that a well-informed public can be a catalyst for meaningful change.
As I previously mentioned In 2011, I founded the WEDA Coalition, now known as Dissentopia. This platform was created to challenge the biases of mainstream media through adversarial journalism and activism. By amplifying underrepresented voices and scrutinizing the narratives shaping public opinion, I strive to bring transparency and accountability to the forefront of international discourse.
My writing has been featured in outlets like Global Research and Antiwar.com , covering topics such as Al-Qaeda’s role in Yemen, the financial implications of U.S. alliances, and the lasting effects of neo-colonialism in Africa. I’ve also shared my insights on platforms like The Scott Horton Show, diving deeper into the complexities of issues like Yemen’s civil war and Western foreign policy.
Through my work, I aim to foster a more informed and engaged public, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking and historical context in understanding today’s global challenges. Whether you’re here to explore the deeper truths of international affairs or to challenge conventional wisdom, Together, we can question, uncover, and reshape the narratives that define our world.
The #INLEO platform is an opportunity for us to connect, share ideas, and engage in thoughtful, critical discussions about the issues that shape our world. Whether you’re here for rigorous analysis, historical insights, or to challenge your own perspectives, I welcome you. Let’s work together to question the dominant narratives, uncover the hidden truths, and build a space where dissent isn’t just allowed—it’s celebrated.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. Let’s challenge, uncover, and dissent together!
