A coin for every occasion: 21st June 1970 - FIFA world cup finals

Throughout the month of June, ill be looking back at historical moments from the past. From conflicts to coronations, sporting moments to royal memories, and famous firsts and lasts, with my love of all things shiny and precious, ill be trying to tie these events in with coins that have been created to commemorate these moments.

On the 21st June 1970, the FIFA World Cup Final was held at the Estadio Azteca stadium, Mexico City. Brazil and Pelé become first team and player to win World Cup 3 times. They comfortably beat Italy, 4-1 in front of 107,412

The silver coin/medallion Measures 54mm diameter and weighs 50 grams of 950 silver.
