So @ashtv asked me the other day - where the best place to buy silver was here in the UK. Well, it turns out that the UK isnt the best place to be a silver stacker, or any kind of precious metals stacker..... Simply put; taxes, prices, choice and availability are all hindrances that have to be over come, and when compared to the United States for example, where prices are lower, no tax and far better choices and availability, it now amazes me how i even managed to accumulate as much as i have.
For example, pre-covid, my closest silver seller is a small shop in Cardiff (Welsh capital city) some 12 miles away. Their choices of designs are limited to the basics: Britannias, Pandas, Eagles and Libertads, which all carry huge premiums. The other option for new stackers is the second hand market that is Ebay, which can be a minefield of fakes and scam artist if youre not careful.
Then as if fate smiled at me, @gdwcoins (AKA @monsterjamgold) messages me out of the blue. Ohh by the way, hes some sort of underworld, kingpin dealer.... Seriously the guy actually deals in silver coins and jewellery, nothing dodgy at all.
Would I be interested in 23oz of 50% silver at a great price?? Fuck yeah i am!! Its been a while since I last got my silver fix.
With a wave of wand and a tap of a few buttons, my fiat currency landed safely in his bank account where it can devalue for him while i enjoy my new silver.
It should be here in a few days, where ill do an unboxing and share what he sends me.

As if getting Precious metals crossing over borders isn't already hard and stressful enough, its great to have a trusted contact or source on the other side (USA). I even get plenty of Shipping delays from packages coming from Central Canada coming out west.
