10. Giouvetsi, Greece
Orzo, also known as risoni, is a type of pasta that resembles large grains of rice. Its versatility makes it a popular choice for all sorts of recipes, from salads and soups to risotto-like creations. In Greece it's used as the base for giouvetsi, a tomatoey dish that sees chicken, lamb or beef cooked with onions, garlic, stock and wine in a clay pot called a güveç.
