For some time now I have tried (a lot) to talk to friends and family about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, but before getting to these options, I made a lot of effort to explain how this blockchain universe and the economy based on digital assets works. My effort was in vain, and sometimes I even wondered if it had been a lack of competence on my part... But no, there really was a lack of interest on their part in learning about it.
Going beyond the lack of interest, there were also more acceptable excuses for not being part of this universe (different types of scams, lack of money or understanding of the ecosystem as a whole, bad global reputation involving the use of this type of technology and many other examples). From my point of view, it always seemed like a viable way out of not committing to an idea, because the pursuit of money seems more conducive to their minds.
After that I didn't try to talk to them about SocialFi, blockchain or cryptocurrencies anymore. Ironically, when the market starts to heat up again, some lost souls start to awaken a “sudden” interest in the subject (and here it is worth mentioning the fact that they are enlightened people about these topics) and start looking for me to talk about this. I patiently listen, but I don't do any more to convince.
Their fickle interest will hardly guarantee them any profit, but I make a point of leaving paths open so that at some other time they will definitely become interested in the blockchain universe and its infinite possibilities. For obvious reasons, using Bitcoin as a gateway still seems like a good strategy to talk about the subject, and at specific times (like the next halving that is coming up, for example), marketing tends to be organic.
Sooner or later, the “deniers” will be inundated with the reality that we (participants in this revolution practically since its inception) already know, and even if it is not too late for them, there will be a great kind of regret in their minds, making them question the true causes of not having been part of a reality that was right in front of them. Fearing something new is normal, but resisting without solid arguments is not.
Desde hace un tiempo he intentado (mucho) hablar con amigos y familiares sobre Bitcoin y otras criptomonedas, pero antes de llegar a estas opciones, me esforcé mucho en explicar cómo funciona este universo blockchain y la economía basada en activos digitales. . Mi esfuerzo fue en vano, y a veces incluso me preguntaba si había sido falta de competencia por mi parte… Pero no, realmente había falta de interés por parte de ellos en saberlo.

Desde mi punto de vista, siempre me pareció una forma viable de no comprometerse con una idea, porque la búsqueda de dinero parece más propicia para sus mentes.
Después de eso, ya no intenté hablar con ellos sobre SocialFi, blockchain o criptomonedas. Ironicamente, quando o mercado começa a ser aquecido novamente, algumas almas perdidas começam a despertar um interesse “repentino” sobre o assunto (e aqui cabe mencionar o fato de que se tratam de pessoas esclarecidas sobre esses temas) e começam a me procurar para conversar sobre eso. Escucho pacientemente, pero no hago más para convencer.
Su voluble interés difícilmente les garantizará algún beneficio, pero me propongo dejar caminos abiertos para que en algún otro momento definitivamente se interesen por el universo blockchain y sus infinitas posibilidades. Por razones obvias, usar Bitcoin como puerta de entrada todavía parece una buena estrategia para hablar sobre el tema, y en momentos específicos (como el próximo halving que se avecina, por ejemplo), el marketing tiende a ser orgánico.
Tarde o temprano, los “negacionistas” se verán inundados por la realidad que nosotros (participantes de esta revolución prácticamente desde sus inicios) ya conocemos, y aunque no sea demasiado tarde para ellos, habrá una gran especie de arrepentimiento en sus mentes, haciéndoles cuestionarse las verdaderas causas de no haber sido parte de una realidad que estaba frente a ellos. Temer algo nuevo es normal, pero resistir sin argumentos sólidos no lo es.
Há algum tempo eu já tentei (e muito) conversar com amigos e familiares sobre Bitcoin e outras criptomoedas, mas antes de chegar até essas opções, eu me esforcei bastante para explicar como funciona esse universo blockchain e à economia baseada em ativos digitais. O meu esforço foi em vão, e algumas vezes eu cheguei a me perguntar se havia sido falta de competência da minha parte... Mas não, realmente havia uma falta de interesse deles em aprender sobre.
Indo além da falta de interesse, havia também desculpas mais aceitáveis para não fazer parte desse universo (diferentes tipos de golpes, falta de dinheiro ou compreensão sobre o ecossistema como um todo, má fama mundial envolvendo o uso desse tipo de tecnologia e tantos outros exemplos). No meu ponto de vista, sempre me pareceu uma saída viável para não se comprometer com uma ideia, porque à busca pelo dinheiro me parece algo mais propício na mente deles.
Depois disso eu não tentei mais conversar com eles sobre SocialFi, blockchain ou criptomoedas. O interesse volúvel dificilmente lhes garantirá algum lucro, mas eu faço questão de deixar caminhos abertos para que em algum outro momento eles definitivamente se interessem pelo universo blockchain e suas infinitas possibilidades. Por motivos óbvios, usar o Bitcoin como porta de entrada ainda me parece uma boa estratégia para tocar no assunto, e em épocas específicas (como o próximo halving que está chegando, por exemplo), o marketing tende a ser orgânico.
Mais cedo ou mais tarde, os “negacionistas” serão inundados com a realidade que nós (participantes dessa revolução praticamente desde o seu início) já conhecemos, e mesmo que não seja tarde demais para eles, haverá um grande tipo de arrependimento na mente deles, fazendo-os se questionar sobre as verdadeiras causas de não terem feito parte de uma realidade que estava bem na frente deles. Temer à algo novo é normal, mas resistir sem argumentos sólidos não.

You are not alone, the same thing happens to me but I have come to the conclusion that maybe I'm a bit more reckless going hard on crypto when all they know is banks and USD, it's that first step the hard one, adoption is already here and we are front running a large amount of the global population 💪✌️
It's a sad scenario, because many people could have already changed their lives if they were participating in this new economic reality.
Fortunately, we saw the possibility and we are already part of it. The future has everything to be bright.

You cannot orange pill everybody. Some people are ignorant, don’t care or still think Bitcoin is a scam. Well, then they have to stay on the sidelines. 🤷🏼♂️
