3.50% yearly interest rate on not invested balance on eToro (2025.09.12)

in LeoFinance25 days ago (edited)

Today I discovered in the eToro Club dashboard that I am eligible for this, and I turned it on, so it is not automatically turned on.

So if you are also eligible, then you also need to turn it on in the settings in your eToro Club dashboard.

Currently eToro is offering a yearly interest rate of 3.50% for uninvested balance for balances below $50 000 USD, and a yearly interest rate of 4.30% for balances more than $50 000 USD.

So for example if you have around $100 USD in uninvested balance, then eToro will pay around $3.50 USD annually to you, which is around $0.29 USD per month.

According to eToro, the interest is calculated daily, and it is paid monthly on/before the fifth day of every month.

And there is no compound interest in this case, so users do not earn interest on interest in this case.

And there is no lock-in or staking in this case either, so you can withdraw your money anytime.

As of today (2025.09.12), these values are true for the European Union, United Kingdom, Jersey, Gibraltar, Guernsey and the Isle of Man regions.

Other regions may have other percentages and other values, and of course the above mentioned percentages and values also can change anytime.

You can read more about this on the website of eToro: Interest on Balance.

Of course this is not an investment advise.

I am a beginner investor, not a financial expert/advisor.

Everyone should do their own research before investing any amount of money into anything.

I wish successful investing to everyone.

Yo my brother, glad you're building accounts. Every bit now will add up. I've overlooked hbd this whole time so I've been building up too man. Never did etoro yet, maybe someday, I may even consider some of the promotions if such exist. Gotta get some freebies if we can.

Currently eToro offers $50 USD for referring friends.

I have not invited anyone to eToro so far.

This is my eToro referral link, if you (or anyone else) are interested.

Ok buddy, ill keep in mind when im ready to try. Referrals are a nice way to get few extra bucks. Hope you been good brother.

Needing to enable it yourself in the Club dashboard is easy to overlook, and and this tip could save folks from missing out.
With daily accrual and a payout by the fifth, there is no compounding, so teh nominal rate is what you actually get over time.
For small balances the interset still adds up to coffee money, which feels like getting paid to do nothing.

The interest mentioned in this post is for the not invested balance on eToro trading accounts.

Similarly to stock dividends, people can reinvest the interests too.

Of course they can withdraw it too, along with their total available balance too.

Yep, it's for the idle cash on the trading account, and and it accrues daily but gets paid monthly with no compounding.
So the APY is nominal compounding, and folks can either roll the payout into new buys or just pull it out with the rest of their available funds.
Nice little boost on the side, even if it's small on tiny balances, definitley worth toggling on.

Yes. You are right.

This interest is not compounding in this case, so people do not earn interest on interest on this.

And I also wrote this in the post.

Yep, no comp;ounding here, the monthly payout just lands and that's it. Still better than zero interset on idle cash, and you can always roll the payout back into your balance if you want to mimic compounding over time..
