That's banking on the assumption that HIVE will bounce back in the future. The thing is, you're not paid in HIVE, you're paid in HP and that takes a lot of time to powerdown, unless you're opting for the liquid rewards. The thing is, people who opted for liquid rewards are often branded as those with no long term plans for Hive. However, in reality, now that less people are posting, it's not the content creators who caused a sell pressure of HIVE. It's the DHF and those who earned from it without proper audit.

That's why I'm no longer incentivized to post. I'm always aiming for quality content and yet people are abusing Hive. Not everyone, but some are just extracting value so much more than others without giving back anything in return.

Good points, it will be even harder to distinguish real value/effort with AI now being so easily accessible.

I would argue however that the selling pressure from the DHF isn't really a big problem (although the funding of bad proposals is) since it is a small fraction of Hives trading volume. I think the major culprit here are the big whales on exchanges
