RE: Ask Leo: Why are we so emotional about money?

in LeoFinancelast year

I think one of the reasons why we're so emotionally attached to money is because of the perceived value we give it, the value it has on our lives. Money is seen as an essential part of living, through it we get things done and move towards a desired outcome.

You are right but still we don't see everything which is essential for our living in emotional way , for example water.
Don't you think?

Do you think it is because scarcity of Money?

Yes, I think is the perceived scarcity of money and how it influences our lives. Water is a utility and is always readily available so there isn't much emotional attachment to it. But money plays with our emotions.

Hope that stays the same forever . I have heard stories about some communities who have to travel for many miles to get water .

I doubt it will. I heard the stories too. Drinkable water is becoming hard to come by.

Exactly , so those communities have emotional attachment with water too just like we have with Money . It is all about what is lacking in your life but which is required for survival.

Well said. It's really a subjective topic based on individual circumstances. We all have emotional attachment towards something.

It really have a good and important impact in our lives that we can't do with it. I wonder how life would be without a financial means.

I wonder how life will will without a financial means.

I can't imagine one like that but tribes come very close to that if you have to imagine.

I wouldn't argue either.
