Not only that the Hongqi S9 will not even be produced in China. The hybrid sports car will be produced in Bologna, adjacent to the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Bologna, Italy.
The Hongqi S9 is not an ordinary sports car. The Chinese-made car will use a V8 engine combined with an electric motor so that it can produce 1,400 horsepower. The car can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour in 2 seconds.

In '90s korean cars (in Europe) were a cheap alternative for other better brands. Now they compete very good level. I think that with chinesee cars it will be the same. Even now they look and seems to be good attractive (I saw some reviews of Polish man living in China). But of course they haven't certificates to register on our roads. And maybe even Europe is to small market to spend money here for marketing and fight for it?
