Driveway Style

Filming reviews has always been a bit of a challenge and of late the sun has become even more of a challenge I don't get me wrong will of the sun reflects very nicely on car paint on forecourt we have a garage and it casts a shadow directly onto a car unless is overcast meaning can't actually film a review unless it's the right weather conditions, see our quandry?

Therefore it was time to come up with another solution. You may likely see from the pictures and videos we have shared that we have around an acre and three quarters, meaning we have the perfect backdrop for a car review.

Now the challenge has been having access to that lawn and also as Annabelle and myself live next to my mum, and she has never really been that keen on us taking cars down onto the lawns - however over the last day or so, things have had to change.

Therefore today - as you'll see from the pictures - we have had to forge a route to the lawn. It was quite a rocky flowerbed, with bushes and all types of things embedded into it, including chimney pots:

Therefore we started slowly removing rocks, digging out the plants - now the shrubs were a bit more challenging yeah a word we have used a lot today, but we had to plan some of the routes and also unravel it from the membrane that was already there for the gravel we've had for years, as the water runs down the driveway and literally drags all the crap from everywhere and puts it onto our fresh gravel meaning the gravel is more like soupy mud - not great...

Now this new system - because it is a wider access point - may actually reduce this, and if it doesn't what I'll do is build some kind of drainage system right at the top:

Tomorrow we will drive the Audi A3 hybrid down the front of the house and onto the lawn.

Don't worry, I'll take some pictures so you will see how the process goes, because what we've had to do today as well is move rocks off the main causeway. Also, some other bushes have been pulled out and relocated as well as flowers and some hedges have been cut back too.

However it was needed, and it is like I mentioned before; our lawn is the perfect backdrop for any car review.
