PAL V Flying car

in Planetauto4 years ago

Yes a flying car, the PAL V which quite randomly runs on normal car pertol or MOGAS and was on show at Salon Prive.

No you can't just jump in it and fly it, we also wondered what you'd need, and it's this - a Gyroplane Private Pilot License (PPL(G)).

Of what we've read these are easier and more fun to fly than a conventional plane, it reminds us of a far more advanced flying machine that you see in Mad Max 1.

It has 100bhp, dual mode engine, it self stabilizes and has curve stabilisatio and it has been approved to fly and is awaiting to be granted, driving and permission to operate in a range of countries.

It's an interesting looking vehicle and is super versatile, it does require 280m needed to take off, yet significantly shorter to land.

It has 400km range, with 30m of reserve fuel on top and fly upto 4h 30 continuously

And here I thought I've seen everything that life needs to offer. If only they made this flying car collapsible to fit in my briefcase, but at least we're getting close to a Jetsons future XD

We are, and iv've just checked the price, which seems quite reasonable 300k Euros, for the Sport Edition.

300k euros is not too bad at all, especially when you consider that it's technically a plane as well!

My dream... to have my flying car to commute.

Cool machine 👍
