The New Peugeot 3008 Hybrid PHEV Review and Road Test

in Planetauto3 years ago (edited)

The 3008 was first showcased mid 2005, unlike the latest SUV it didn't have a specific direction, it was part mpv, part car and part SUV, in the UK the MPV was most popular at this time.

Then followed a facelift and a newer model, this latest model was released at the end of 2020, and has the latest design language from Peugeot.

As you can this model takes a few of it's design queues from the fantastic 508, including LED Lion's tooth daytime running lights and Lion claw rear lenses too.

This latest model also has a frameless grille and other styling additions too.

We have the 3008 Allure and there are a number of trims to choose from as well as a number of options, interestingly whilst driving this Ben achieved 155mpg, and in his words the key to economy is to keep the PHEV charged.

It offers 30 or so miles of EV range, a comfortable and spacious vehicle and it costs just over £32k

It's also a PHEV and there is also a 4x4 PHEV too which will run 0-60 in around 5s, this is still a respectable 8s or so though.
