10. 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance (2.7 Seconds)
The 2022 Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance is one of the quickest electric cars from a standstill. The 1,050-horsepower Lucid Air generates 921 pound-feet of torque. It's dual electric motors propels the 5,264-pound behemoth from 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds, and has a quarter mile time of 10 seconds at 145 mph.

9. Hispano-Suiza Carmen Boulogne (2.6 Seconds)
Spanish manufacturer Hispano-Suiza produced 19 units of the Carmen between 2019 and 2021. The planned Carmen Boulogne to be built in collaboration with Formula E engineers will have a planned 1,110 horsepower, 1,180 pound-feet of torque. It will reach 0-60 mph in 2.6 seconds making it one of the quickest electric cars and will reach a limited top speed of 180 mph (290 kph).
8. 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S (2.4 Seconds)
There is no turbo in the 2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S. Instead, the 5,246-pound beast is powered by dual-electric motors, generating 750 horsepower and 774 pound-feet of torque. The Taycan is also a little different than conventional electric cars, as it's the first EV with multi speed transmission, allowing for quicker acceleration in first gear and a 0-60 mph time of 2.4 seconds.

7. 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid (2.3 Seconds)
The Model S Plaid doesn't need an introduction. The sedan isn't even a supercar but it offers hypercar performance. Despite being powered by three electric motors it weighs 4,842 pounds. After priming the Model S Placid in "Drag Strip Mode" which can take around 10 minutes, the 1,020 horsepower Plaid is then optimized to run the 0-60 mph sprint in 2.3 seconds making it one of the fastest electric cars ever.

6. Deus Vayanne (2.0 Seconds)
Manufactured by Austrian company DEUS, the Vayanne will be limited to 99 examples and is set to reach owners in 2025. Pushing up to 2,243 horsepower with 1,475 pound-feet of torque, a 0-60 mph time of under two seconds will challenge for one of the fastest electric vehicles money can buy.
5. Tesla Roadster (1.9 Seconds)
The cost of the first generation Tesla Roadster has begun to appreciate as they are becoming a true collectable. The second generation Roadster is expected to hit the roads in 2024 and will be propelled by three electric motors, with two of those at the rear. It’s expected to accelerate at an impressive 0-60 mph in 1.9 seconds, and a SpaceX package with cold air thruster propulsion launching the Roadster at a claimed 1.1 seconds.
4. Pininfarina Battista (1.79 Seconds)
Sharing some features with the Rimac Nevera, both the Nevera and Pininfarina Battista utilize the same 125-kWh battery and four electric motors. Able to reach 1,900 horsepower and 1,725 pound-feet of torque, the Battista will have a limited run of only 150 units. It can reach 0-60 mph in a lightning quick 1.79 seconds, a record that has since been broken. It also set the record for fastest braking electric vehicle, coming to a complete stop from 62 mph (100 kph) in 101.7 feet (31 meters).
3. Pininfarina B95 (1.79 Seconds)
The Pininfarina B95 is the most expensive electric car and is also one of the quickest. Essentially the same bones as the Battista, the B95 has no windows or a roof and will hit a 0-60 mph time of 1.79 seconds. Only 10 examples will be built, each with an almost unlimited amount of customization options.
2. Rimac Nevera (1.74 Seconds)
Only 150 Rimac Nevera's will be built, each with 1,888 horsepower and 1,741 pound-feet of torque. The Nevera set the benchmark for electric hypercards and set a then-record of 0-60 mph in 1.74 seconds. It can also reach 0-249 mph (400 kph) in 29.93 seconds and in August 2023 set a record for the fastest production electric vehicle at the Nürburgring.
1. Aspark Owl (1.72 Seconds)
Built in Italy, the Japanese developed Aspark Owl is the quickest electric car in the world able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in a world record 1.72 seconds. Driven by four electric motors with a 64kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the Owl delivers 1,985 horsepower and 1,475 pound-feet of torque. The first fully-electric Japanese hypercar, it will be limited to only 50 examples.
