Artemis Shares: #EndSARS, Free Speech & the Nigerian Protests

in FreeSpeech4 years ago (edited)

It has been weeks in the international news for us, but for Nigerian people is has been YEARS of oppression and horror. Decades, if the truth be told.

I read today that "Nigeria" is NOT the Nigerian government, who are supposed to be the elected servant-leaders, but that Nigeria is the Nigerian people.

Today @artemisshares simply wants to encourage, uphold and share the under-valued posts of 3 Nigerian Hive family members, sharing their personal perspectives about the police brutalty, the corruption, the protests and the killings. It must stop.

Each of the authors featured today is a post beneficiary, so please be generous.

Enjoy. Upvote. Comment. Reblog. Tip.

Armed men of forces were sent to shoot at peaceful protesters and it was a bloody scene to behold yesterday, everywhere was filled with chaos and tension, so many vibrant young men and women who were protesting peacefully yesterday were gunned down. There was a celebrity who was present among the protesters and was doing all she could to cover the entire event live on her social media handle, the armed men were given an order to shoot her at sight according to the information we got. @artemisshares is a simple, private curation project run by @artemislives. The goal? To increase exposure and rewards for great content that doesn't always get the recognition it deserves. Today it might be 3 healthful posts, tomorrow it might be 3 posts about freedom, red cars, crypto or dogs. As the mood takes me.

Each post featured here is a post beneficiary and the remainder used to build a juicier upvote. Because I believe in encouragement and at the end of a curating session, there are ALWAYS a few posts I'd like to do more for.
