OK, SO, LIE = UNJUSTIFIED CONFIDENCE = EVIL?

Hmm. A Lie can equal "UNJUSTIFIED CONFIDENCE" but does not make it 'so'. More along the 'accidental' lie yes. Or as I like to call it, the "Lesser Evil"....which is still....evil.

What's your position on "problematic" opinions?

Need an example. Depends on what caused such opinion to be deemed 'problematic' in the first place. Problematic would have to be something on a 'path to hell', for myself to issue that label.

For example, what if someone had an opinion that "all americans are ugly".

This is not exactly provably-false, would you consider this opinion "problematic"?

No that would not be problematic at all.
If that person started spreading narrative that 'ugly people should suffer', then that would enter into the realm of 'problematic'.

That still sounds like an opinion.

Does it? Are you ears ringing?
But it doesn't matter what it sounds like. What matters is the result of the equation.

Publicly advocating, "all ugly people deserve to suffer" is a crime?

Did I use the word Crime? Or is that what you 'heard', in your head?
"Problematic".
Problematic-
1a: posing a problem : difficult to solve or decide
b: not definite or settled : UNCERTAIN
their future remains problematic
c: open to question or debate : QUESTIONABLE

Such a 'feeling' could lead to problems for society.
I am curious why you went straight for the Fallacy and inserted the word 'crime'? It was you who used 'problematic'. I stuck with that, and you somehow shifted it to crime. Very interesting.
