Famous Attractions in Germany

in Travel2 years ago

Since November 11 is Holiday in Belgium and I dont have to work on weekend, I planned to go to Cochem in Germany. Just read about this city which is beautiful during autumn so I give it a try. We go by car from Belgium and it took us around 3 hrs to reach there. Luckily there was no traffic jam.
Since sole attractions are closed before reaching our main destination ,We went there first,

We passed by Burg Eltz, to visit Eltz Castle ,This castle is situated in the middle of the Eltz Forest, near Münstermaifeld, between Eifel, Moselle and Rhine in the northern Rhineland-Palatinate. Tucked away in the lush Eltz forest and surrounded by green hills, this beautifully preserved castle is truly a scene from a fairy-tale. Burg Eltz is a wonder of medieval architecture and has really stood the test of time and It’s one of the few castles in this area that has survived many wars and attacks over the centuries.I didnt regret going there because of its has also a magnificient and relaxing views outside. Unfortunately, the castle was not open anymore..We just took some photos and continue to our nexg journey ,(The Geierlay Suspension Bridge ,)There is no parking near the area you have to park on a far away parking. From there you have to walk for 20 mins. The Bridge is a majestic structure in the north of the Hunsrück built by Swiss experts based on blueprints from the Asian kingdom of Nepal. It is 360 metres long, weighs 62 tons and cost over one million euro to build.. With every step, the suspension bridge trembles a little more. The distance down into the valley gets further and further, reaching 100 metres in the middle of the gorge. Many hold on to the steel cable as a precaution, feel every step over the abyss carefully and breathe a sigh of relief when they get to the other side.
