The Weirdest Thing I believed To Be True

The magic of childhood is believing in the unbelievable, and living in a world where anything whatsoever is possible.

There is nothing else in the world of a child than to build on what goes in through their ears and stay in their brain for further encoding and breakdown.

This is the sole reason why it is always advisable never to feed a child with false or bad words as that is the food they will grow on to nurture and groom themselves.

While growing up, I was made to know so many things, either to scare me off some things so I don't get to do them or to ensure that I would always do it even if no adult was around to make me do it or do it for me and so on.
One of these things was about my teeth shedding. You know as a child, we still possess milk teeth as our teeth and until we lose all these milk teeth and have another one come up, each tooth won't cease to fall out but then, my mum told me something which stick to my head all through my childhood period.

She said once my tooth or teeth removes in case it's not one but two, I MUST get 7 stones because I am a female with 7 bones, add it to the tooth and throw it on a roof of a house which means I MUST ENSURE TO KEEP THE TOOTH SAFE if not, lizard will pluck out all my teeth while asleep and I will become toothless.

Unfortunately as well, I always see some kids in my street or in my school whose teeth have all wiped off and it's left with their gums only, making them look funny when they decide to laugh while playing and I determined not to be like that because I thought it was lizard that took away their teeth like my mum told me.

So I held onto that warning so tight that whenever a tooth of mine falls out either in school or where I was playing with fellow kids, I'll keep it so safe like I'll keep my food allowance and not lost it then get the 7 stones and throw them on a house roof.

As much as I tried to throw those stones when I was little back then, I don't think my teeth are still complete even now that I'm now an adult cos of all my teeth gap spaces lol.

Though it is one of the weirdest thing I believed and followed back then but I can still say it taught me more on how to keep things safe if I count them important.

Yeah i think it's universal truly and no matter what and how, our mothers are the best

It must be terrifying to believe that a lizard will come and pull out your teeth =)
