Turning turntables

I've been thinking about buying a turntable so I can start listening to my vinyl records again; I have quite a few of them, mostly older artists from when I was a younger person, but I like the sound of them, the cracks and pops and the thought of going back to a way of listening to music I recall to my youth.

This weekend I'm going to shop around for one in stores, not online, and see what can be found, what sort of cost and how they work these days. Someone told me they connect to Bluetooth speakers now which is handy so I suppose means it's not exactly the same as I remember but I'm willing to make that compromise I think.

I'm also going to see an exhibition of arts and crafts in a small township not far from where I live at which there'll be a small market of crafts and also a farmers market plus a folk band which all sounds really nice to me.

The weekend always seems to go by so fast and Monday arrives once again meaning the working week begins all over again. I don't mind too much because I enjoy my job but I'd much rather be listening to music and relaxing. If only the weekend went for seven days of the week.
