The Scoop is a weekly post designed to highlight some of THE WEEKEND communities' excellent content. It will focus on original, weekend-oriented posts and members who use their own original photos will be prioritised. It will be a collection drawn from any blogs posted into the community, including #weekend-engagement entries, and is designed to promote the great work being done by so many of our community members.

This week's selections

@cmplxty

Follow this link to a post where he took his son crabbing. They found the coolest creature called a Rock Gunnel which looks like an eel but isn't. A great activity for a little kiddo. Just remember to take some gloves if you decide to do this with your child.

@blanchy

Follow this link for a comical rundown of how he won a rather swanky car via a ridiculous radio competition. The suspence in this post was just great and pulls you right into that moment. There is no way that anyone can actually tell that many jokes in an hour but that's beside the point.

@lileisabel

Follow this link for a massive stroke of luck to do with vehicles, once as a child and later when she was being examined for her drivers license. She seems to have beaten the odds in both instances. Perhaps it was chance, perhaps it was meant to be, either way, her smile shows just how lucky she felt in that moment.

@ksteem

Follow this link as he takes you on a rollercoaster of good and bad luck, timing and perspective while trying to erect a garage shed to house his snow covered truck. Sometimes what we plan to achieve doesn't work out quite how we originally envisioned it, but he demonstrates just how persistance can pay off.

@tibaire

Follow this link for an enjoyable read about how synchronicity happened to get her into the right place at exactly the right time to land a job. She considers herself a very lucky fish!

@jagged

Follow this link. Have a gander at his new seedlings coming up and how he took a moment just to appreciate the "now" as opposed to overthinking. Looking around at how his little green friends know exactly what to do and just get on with it is a lovely way of changing your perspective. He's found a genius way to recycle disposable masks in the garden too.

We hope you all have a great week and weekend to come and look forward to seeing you on the #weekend-engagement initiative where you can select from several blog prompts to enter and have a chance to win some Hive.

Don't forget that you don't have to wait until the weekend to post your blog into THE WEEKEND community. If your content is weekend-focused it's welcome on any day of the week. Don't forget to read and follow the community rules and take some time to read the Posting Guide which gives additional helpful information.
