RE: Who's Decision Is It?

You make some good points @erikah but I think there are some dangers to consider. I am pro choice. And for most of us we can decide to end our lives any time if we wanted. I could kill myself today and no one could stop me if I was determined. However, when someone is sick or so ill they can not end their own life, that is when we need to involve others. It has to be very carefully controlled as to not to be abused. For anyone taking someone else's life (or just assisting) it has to be very clear that they were in sound mind in choosing that for themselves in a way that is witnessed and verifiable.

So in principle I could agree with you but the implementation of it is not too straightforward.
