Playing Mobile Games for the Lore and Ranks

I'm not really an expert gamer just like what my peers are. I have been playing some mobile games before but I couldn't get myself to like it that much. So, after a month or two, I would uninstall them and would forgot they exist already. However, I was influenced to try them again this year. I could see my siblings, cousins, friends and even my boyfriend play these games often on their free time. I got other hobbies before, and I like reading the most. Sadly, I couldn't bring a book anywhere. E-books are convenient but I like reading in a way where I could smell the pages and flip through the pages in a paper form.

Since I couldn't do it, I went along with them and try these mobile games. First, it was Wild Rift. It was taking a lot in my phone storage and only few people I know play it. Then, I switched to Mobile Legends, where most players like the most. Though a lot enjoy playing the game, I could not like the environment. A lot of players are toxic, sending inappropriate messages in-game and reporting are normal things.

Well, reporting is fine but I don't like the messages they sent during the game. Mostly, they would send it when someone can't play well or the game is on the verge of losing. While I understand the frustration, but the time spent on idling just to send those trash talks could be used to overturn the tides instead. The enemy is advancing towards the our base and the team just keep on cursing each other. It only shows that they are playing for an easy win but wouldn't want to experience the hassle and hurdles to get the rewards.

Overtime, I got used to it but I can't really like the environment of MLBB and dealing with the immature players. So then again, I switched to Honor of Kings where I'm always playing whenever I have the time.

Recently, I have achieved some masteries in few heroes. So far, the highest rank I obtained was Master III from the previous season, but currently, I'm still on Diamond I. My account's level now is on Level 98, so maybe that's why it has been hard to rank up if I'm a solo player. It doesn't matter that much, though. I just wanna play and train may patience to extend and be some more understanding.

I have been able to attain an Adept proficiency in heroes I used in the farm lane but I love being the Roamer more. So, I'm trying to learn more heroes that could roam to counter to heroes that are difficult to deal with. It has been a wild adventure but I'm learning. My stars go up and down, my proficiency was adding and deducting points each time.

More importantly, I'm enjoying and it relieves my stress everytime. I'm playing in between shifts, during break time and lunch, because after that, it will be an exhausting workload. it eases, calms, and makes me happy though I'm not really happy with the people I'm dealing with personally. Anyway, that's all about my hobby. Thanks for reading!

I'm like you when it comes to mobile games. After playing it for some time and once I satisfied my curiosity, I will uninstall it. The only game I reinstall and still playing now is a Dress Up game called Love Nikki, haha, so girly game pero I like it. I am satisfied with it.

Anyways, ML is a hard game ha, I tried once and never tried again after. And naalala ko lang yong kwento ni Karylle sa Its Showtime yong nag laro lang sya tapos namura pa hahahaha. Ang dami talagang trashtalk-an jan no. If mahina loob mo baka madepress pa.

That game is not for the faint hearted talaga, pero umay din pag puro toxic. Walang growth, di nakaka motivate maglaro.

A lot of players are toxic, sending inappropriate messages...

For me, I always mute other players before the game even starts. I just don’t like reading curse words anymore, even if the player’s really good. Maybe that’s my secret to ranking up faster than before — I focus on my gameplay now instead of wasting time trash-talking. Well, trash-talking them won’t help me win the game anyway. I’d rather just report them after and add them to my blacklist.

I’m glad you enjoy playing Honor of Kings! I actually prefer it over Mobile Legends too because the players there are more chill and less toxic. I’ve also noticed that Garena seems stricter with their rules compared to Moonton.

Yes, it's very different. The players are more focused on playing sending those messages. If you encounter one, that's surely from ML. 🤣 That's why, ML players couldn't stand Wild Rift because their toxicity aren't allowed there.

I came from ML and tried HOK back when it first launched — I was one of those curious new players, and I even wrote a blog about it here before. Honestly, HOK back then was just like ML — full of toxic players too. But when I came back recently, it’s totally different now! You can really tell that the developers are doing their best to improve the game. I just wish Moonton would do the same instead of focusing too much on improving the map all the time. Lol. 🤣
