RE: Weekend-engagement week 16: How does yours look?

Sam and I had our second 'come now' session of the fall. When there is a high speed desert vehicle in the near neighborhood I want him right by me. Many of those guys drive like they are in the Baja 1000 and I don't want Sam hit. He remembered perfectly from the spring...

Lines. Soon there will be lines everywhere. Sigh.

Sort:

I apologize, as I have missed this one totally Sir Tom!

Sam? Yes, a sad day when the cowboy racers arrive. People just have no respect for life when they are out to impress others.

I also hate long lines and the standing around feeling helpless, a real tedious situation.

It's pretty easy to identify them right now. They are the ones that leave their rigs (often dually diesels) running while they are in the grocery store so the air conditioner can keep them nice and cool.

Some of them have a horrible sense of entitlement, and to be fair, some of the locals have the same but opposite feeling of entitlement. It's just survival time. But at least the weather is nice :)

Well if they dared to leave them running here, that rig will disappear at a wink of eye lol.
That word entitlement is pure poison Sir Tom.

But you are right about the survival time and just do what you can lol.

Just generally speaking, I don't mingle with people any more than necessary so Sam and I are pretty unaffected out on the desert :) It's flat enough that we can change course in time to not have to pass directly.

I was just telling another friend that I need to get down to the River soon and do the walk there before too many people show up...

Great and you must have huge spaces there that you can disappear in my friend.
Over here we love to go out in bad weather as it is so great to stand with my camera on a 12 mile long beach alone.
We have bad weather here for some weeks now and I took some shots of kite surfers on the ocean. Great to see those guys in action. At a fair distance of course.

Get yerself to the river soon mate, before it's too late lol

I've only seen one rogue dog walker so far this season. In a month Sam and I will have to plan our route very carefully :)

Of course, there are some combos that we both enjoy. But that's another story for another time.

Well, one thing that I know is that you are not a stupid guy and you will take the correct precautions.
Yes, I bet that the combos will be an interesting story.
