Sounds like a just great weekend plan to me. I post here most every weekend and I don't have weekends!
You are going to like Death of a Salesman. It was written as a play, and consequently a pretty damn good 1950s movie.

I didn't know about the film, looks like it won the golden globe then. Will check it out as well.
