I looked at this lens recently. For about 11 seconds. I'd really like it, but I really don't need it. Most of my birding is watching only.

Hmm I know what you mean @bigtom13, I don't need it either, but would love to have it. Because it isn't a need I have directed my resources that way. I know I'll get this or something even better someday soon.
Yip a refrigerator, that is why I don't want to spend on the lens.. this is a real need. I'd rather cater to such needs than spend on a lens.
