Greetings to my Co-Hivers, I hope you are all doing well today. I just want to share our little weekend escape in Solea Mactan Resort.
It was one of those short trips that we planned simply because we needed a pause from everything. We wanted to slow down and breathe a little away from our usual routine. That was exactly the goal when we decided to spend our weekend there. We went with one clear intention which was to relax. No rushing and no expectations. Just a peaceful stay and a change of environment.
We arrived in the late afternoon when the sun was still bright. Solea Mactan Resort had this calm atmosphere that instantly made the place feel right for a weekend break. The surroundings looked refreshing and I could already see hints of the many pool areas from different corners that made the place even more inviting. After checking in we went straight to our room and that was where the real mood of the trip began.

Our room was neat and simple. Everything felt organized and clean which made settling in easy. What stood out the most was the balcony that opened to a beautiful view. During the day the view looked wide and peaceful, and the city on the distant side. It gave that quiet feeling that makes you want to sit, listen to nothing and just stay still for a while.
After we set our things in the room, we explored the pools which was probably the highlight of the whole trip. Solea Mactan has a lot of pools and each one has a different vibe. There is a pool for guests who want to swim comfortably without too many distractions.
There is another one where the view is the main feature which makes it perfect if you want to relax while looking at the surroundings.
They also have a pool area that looks like a mini water park. It has slides and sections where you can play around which makes it a fun spot if you want a bit of excitement. Every pool looks pretty during the day especially with the clear sky and the bright water. We spent time hopping from one pool area to another because we want to make every moment spent in the resort worth it.

When evening came the experience became even better. When we went into our room, the city lights started to show in the distance like scattered sparkles and from the balcony everything looked calm and clear. The breeze was cool and the whole place seemed to slow down. It was such a relaxing sight and it made the night feel soft in a way that lets me forget how busy the week had been.
We had dinner right after we changed our clothes. Nothing overly fancy but it matched the mood of the night. Simple food, a nice surrounding and the thought that we did not need to hurry anywhere. After dinner we went back to our room and enjoyed the quietness from the balcony before finally calling it a night.
The next morning felt calm and easy. Before packing up and head home, we decided to have a quick dip in the pool. The water was refreshing and clear, and it felt like the perfect way to start the day. We spent a little time just floating and moving lazily in the water. It was a simple moment but it made leaving a little harder because of how relaxed we are during our stay.
After drying off, we finally packed up, and before leaving we took one last look from our balcony. Even in the daylight the view remained beautiful. It was simple yet refreshing and it felt like the perfect note to end the weekend.
Some moments were quiet and some were filled with laughter and movement. That mix made the experience feel complete. The peaceful room at night and the fun pool areas during the day made the whole stay balanced.
Our weekend escape in Solea Mactan Resort was exactly what we needed. It was calm yet enjoyable. Light yet memorable. Sometimes a short stay is more than enough to reset your energy and this trip reminded us of that.
