Sunday sharing with the family

Good evening, friends. I hope you had a nice weekend, that you were able to rest or enjoy time with your family to start the week off on the right foot. Here at home, I started the day with my daughter, her husband, and grandson, who went to exercise their right to vote and then returned home to enjoy a delicious barbecue with the family.
My son-in-law invited his mother and aunt to join us and spend a very pleasant day together.
My husband and I took care of the barbecue, him more than me because the smoke bothered me, so I spent more time working in the kitchen, preparing the rice and keeping everything clean. My daughter made Chilean salad and coleslaw, Aunt Olga brought bean salad and drinks, my son-in-law made chips, and I made a green sauce.

After enjoying lunch, we had delicious ice cream with three flavours, my son-in-law's favourite (tiramisu, tres leches, chocolate chips).

While we were waiting to play Lota because my husband was resting for a while because he wasn't feeling well, I made some delicious Venezuelan coffee. Then, when we played Lota, we enjoyed a lemon and poppy seed cake. I had never tried it before, but it was really tasty.

Then we stopped in La Lota for a snack, which is customary in Chile. Whenever we spend time together as a family, we have a wonderful day, and we do this almost every weekend to strengthen family ties and share Chilean and Venezuelan customs. It has truly been very enriching for my husband @manros11 and me to spend time with many people in this country.
