Weekend at Green Lagoon | Compostela, Cebu

in Weekend Experiences2 months ago (edited)

Last Sunday July 14, the whole family went to Green Lagoon located in Compostela, Cebu to celebrate the birthdays of my two nephews. Zac Arkin’s birthday is July 13 while Yassher’s birthday is July 15. My siblings, the parents of the birthday celebrants decided to do it together to save money, to do it in between of their birthdays to be fair, and to do it on a Sunday so we can all attend.

GREEN LAGOON, NO MORE BALLOONS
Celebrating Two Birthdays into One

My not so grown up nephews prefer celebrating their birthdays in the beach or pool. Gone are the days, when they would cry and scream until they get a balloon. They have outgrown it already and now would often choose to go swimming.

Green Lagoon is the easiest choice of Arkin’s father, my brother, because it is very close to my sister-in-law’s house. Aside from that, it also has a swimming pool with slides where the kids would surely enjoy!

In the entrance, you would be greeted by the staff who would collect your entrance fees. The entrance fee for the adult is forty pesos and twenty pesos for the children. Age 13 is already considered as an adult in Green Lagoon. But that is still okay because it is still affordable.

You will be paying a separate fee for the cottage rent which 500 pesos and the swimming pool. For kids, the swimming pool fee is 50 pesos and 100 pesos for the adult. I think the price is reasonably fine.

This was not my first time in Green Lagoon, so I was not very excited of the place but I was happy that my family would be spending and celebrating my nephews' birthday here together. I knew that it would be crowded because of it's affordability and accessibility.

Green Lagoon is also an excellent choice for groups of friends and families who would like to spend a little longer or overnight because they have big rooms facing the big swimming pool.

So this is their swimming pool. It is perfect for children because it has two slides and it is not deep. However, you will surely share the pool with a lot of people, but if it is not an issue or a problem to you, then you are just fine here.

As mentioned earlier, this is not my first time here, but there have been renovations and new additional amenities in Green Lagoon. I am trying to remember when was that last time when I visited this place but I could not remember but I knew it was before the pandemic so maybe 4 or 5 years ago.

Now, they have a covered court, I am pretty sure they have built this so they can cater big events such as birthdays, wedding receptions, and company parties. So, that is a smart move!

IMG_8902.jpeg

Now, they also have food stalls and/or stores. If I remember correctly, this was only a vacant lot where goers used to play volleyball. Now, it still has a place for a volleyball but with a limited space.

IMG_8903.jpeg

Furthermore, they also have two sets of swings and seesaws where all walks of life can enjoy. Although, it was rusty and not properly maintained, it was still a good addition to this place because it became more friendly and welcoming.

We only rented one cottage because there were only a few of us, less than 15 adults. The cottage has already two plastc benches and it already has an access to a power source or outlet, so you can charge any of your devices.

I find time to take more pictures because the place seemed unfamiliar already because of the changes and few additions. I was a little bit impressed compared to my last visit.

Anyways, here is my family enjoying the fresh and relaxing moment at the beach. And of course, I have to capture photos of them baby sitting my beautiful daughter.

Look! My daughter really enjoyed the swimming pool! So, overall, it was a beautiful and meaningful weekend birthday celebration.

Thank you for your time. God bless.
