9 months is a long time but if I look back for a moment... It really was an instant! In all this time, my wife, Nicolò and I have thought a lot about Davide's birth and now here we are, Davide arrived quickly (labor lasted just two hours), and he has already enchanted our life.
Nicolò now has a brother to play with... Or rather he will be ready to play maybe in a couple of years! But what is certain is that Nicolò and Davide will always be able to count on each other. Being a parent today is not easy, not that in the past it was a game, but life today is much more complicated, the reality in which we live is a dense network whose meshes can easily get stuck and it is not easy to free oneself.
I admit that I am a father who is anxious about the future of his children, a feeling that he tried to hide because I might ruin my children's optimism. I like to think that the future is decided by each of us, helped and supported by the love and attention of our parents.
But let's go back to Davide, a child weighing almost 3.5 kg, in good health, and has already started to smile sweetly during his sleep. He has much more hair than me (doubts about paternity could arise 😁) but he looks calm and blissful, despite the shock he suffered from the transition from the environment of the womb to the bright environment outside. I've always wondered how it felt in there, unfortunately we have no memories of that period but it seems like it was really good. Perhaps, only in the last few weeks the space is a bit restricted and there is not much possibility to move legs and arms at will.
It's time to go back to changing diapers, sleepless nights wandering around the house waiting for the baby to fall asleep, pees in the face and the first smiles. Another great adventure awaits us in the coming months!

9 mesi è tanto tempo ma se mi giro un attimo a guardare indietro... È stato davvero un istante! In tutto questo tempo io, mia moglie e mio figlio Nicolò abbiamo pensato tanto alla nascita di Davide ed ora eccoci qua, Davide è giunto velocemente (travaglio durato scarse due ore), e ha già incantato la nostra vita.
Nicolò ha ora un fratello con cui giocare... O meglio sarà pronto per giocare forse tra un paio d'anni! Ma ciò che è certo è che Nicolò e Davide potranno contare sempre sull'altro. Essere oggi genitori non è semplice, non che in passato fosse un gioco, ma la vita di oggi è molto più complicata, la realtà in cui viviamo è una fitta rete le cui maglie possono facilmente incastrati e non è semplice poi liberarsi.
Ammetto di essere un padre ansioso per il futuro dei propri figli, un sentimento che cercò però di nascondere perché potrei rovinare l'ottimismo dei miei figli. Mi piace pensare che il futuro lo decide ognuno di noi, aiutato e supportato dall'amore e dall'attenzione dei genitori.
Ma torniamo a Davide, un bambino di quasi 3,5 kg, in buona salute, e già ha iniziato a sorridere dolcemente durante il sonno. Ha molti più capelli di me (il dubbio sulla paternità potrebbe nascere 😁) ma ha un'aria tranquilla e beata, nonostante lo shock subito dal passaggio dall'ambiente dell'utero a quello luminoso esterno. Mi sono sempre interrogato su come ci si possa sentire lì dentro, purtroppo noi non abbiamo ricordi di quel periodo ma sembra che si stia proprio bene. Forse, solo nelle ultime settimane lo spazio è un po' ristretto e non c'è molta possibilità di muovere gambe e braccia a piacimento.
È tempo ora di tornare a cambiare pannolini, delle notti insonne girando per casa in attesa che il bambino si addormenti, delle pipi in faccia e dei primi sorrisi. Un'altra grande avventura ci aspetta nei prossimi mesi!
