Podcast: 5 Podcasts that will transform your content creation in 2024

Did you know, that in my country, people lose an average of 5 hours in public transportation? If you're in a similar situation, today I share some of my favorite podcasts (in English) so you can make the most of your downtime.

I use the Google Podcast app in my case, not the best, and I dislike the ads, but Spotify is blocked, and iVoox sometimes freezes with the poor connection. So, Google Podcasts is currently my solution.

What app do you use?

Regarding the podcasts on this list, most focus on entrepreneurship or improving language and writing skills.

Let's begin...

1. English Learning for Curious Minds

As a native Spanish speaker, discovering this podcast has significantly improved my English.

It's an interesting way to learn with written transcriptions, subtitles, and key vocabulary.

The website, Leonardo English, offers additional resources for English learning.

With 452 episodes covering various topics from K-Pop to the 1978 World Cup, each episode lasts around 30 minutes.

2. Waveform: The MKBHD

Hosted by Marques Brownlee, the famous tech YouTuber, Waveform is the podcast co-produced by him.

It's a podcast for gadget and technology fans in general. Between Brownlee, Andrew and David, they cover all the weekly news in terms of technology.

In my case, in my country there are not many of the technologies they talk about or simply are unaffordable because of the prices at which they are marketed, but I am passionate about these issues and listening to this trio makes me keep me updated with this world that evolves so fast, someday I can enjoy these advances.

The duration of the chapters is about an hour, but if you like these topics, they will pass quickly. I usually listen to it in the mornings (I have an alarm that alerts me when it is published) and the next morning I listen to it.

As in my country there is a great insecurity, I can not be with the phone in my hand in public transport or waiting for it, because I can lose it. So reading news at that time is out of the question, and this podcast largely replaces the need to read.

Sometimes it takes me a few days to complete the chapter but, by listening to it little by little, it's like taking pills of information with me, so I don't get oversaturated with information.

If technology is your thing, follow MKBHD on YouTube and subscribe to their podcast.

3. TED Business

TED Talks bring together great minds, and this podcast delivers that information to you.

I used to watch TED Talks on YouTube, but now, with podcasts, I can download episodes on topics that interest me and listen at my own pace.

This podcast has controversial topics, some more current and others less controversial, but I am sure that all of them will make you reflect, learn and maybe get some ideas for your reality.

The chapters are rather small pills of 20 minutes. So look for the topic you like and listen to them, you will see that they will be useful.

4. The GaryVee Audio Experience

If you don't know GaryVee, you're missing out. A pioneer in personal branding and marketing, GaryVee shares insights applicable to common situations in his podcast.

Some episodes analyze successful businesses in the U.S., providing valuable knowledge for entrepreneurs.

If you have a business, you like entrepreneurship, or you want to launch into the world of personal branding, this podcast is a good resource.

This podcast has helped me to apply some ideas to some of my projects in the past and some have worked for me and others were not really for my reality, but it is always good to know how the marketing world moves and more if it is from the hand of one of the oldest in the world.

Episodes range from 10 minutes to an hour.

5. The Smart Passive Income

Hosted by Pat Flynn.

Pat, has been building online businesses since 2008 and blogging long before that. In his podcast he shares his victories but also his defeats, what I liked is how he takes a lesson from each event and applies it to improve his business the next time.

This is the podcast I listen to most seriously. The good thing is that the episodes are not very long (20 to 50 minutes). What I do is add an hour to my school study session and sit down to listen to this podcast.

Why do I do it this way? Well, it allows me to disconnect from school, I switch from studying medicine to learning about the hobby I love, I learn at my own pace, I am not obliged to meet a schedule or goals. At the end, I reread what I wrote down and see how I can apply it to my writing.

In conclusion, in the 6 or 7 chapters I have listened to I have learned a lot and will soon be applying them here.

The Smart Passive Income, is one of the discoveries that excites me the most. In the podcast, you learn a lot from the host or his guests. That's why I recommend you do what I do, take note of what they say and see if you can adapt it to your reality. Maybe in the future they can help you.

With 766 episodes, lasting from 20 to 50 minutes, I find this podcast perfect for adding an hour to my study sessions.

Listening to podcasts is one of the best ways to acquire knowledge nowadays. It's like having someone talk about a topic you enjoy, sharing experiences, often proven ones. If you haven't started listening to podcasts, you're missing out on a great treasure.

If you're on my team and use your downtime for podcasts, share your favorites. What topics do you mostly search for, and which one is your favorite?

For Spanish speakers, I'll be publishing a list of my favorite Spanish podcasts in a few days. Hope to see you there.

For now, goodbye, and THANKS for reading.

Mate (@galenkp), check your Wallet and let me know if the Ecency points for the #weekend-engagement have been credited to you. They don't appear in my app (maybe is my wonderful internet connection 😅)

I see it, cheers! Also, you're best off replying to one of my comments rather than just tagging me in a comment like this as I may moss the mention because I typically ignore mentions as I get so many. You know?

✅✍🏻 Noted

Between the poor connection and the little time I've had lately, I didn't want to comment on one of your posts without a reasonable comment (it didn't seem appropriate), but you're right in what you say

All your comments to me are reasonable.

Thank you mate, I really appreciate those words 🙏🏻😁

No worries mate.
