Once, in a small town far from the crazy city of Caracas, four childhood friends who later worked together in a beautiful school in the area, had been separated for years. One of them had moved to the big city in search of adventure, while the other stayed in town to take care of her family and the other two still work in the same place and maintain our great vocation for teaching. But one day, by chance, they met in the street and decided to meet again to remember old times.
And what better way to do it than eating pizza?
So we agreed to meet again at the most famous pizza restaurant in town, a pizza restaurant called AL CUADRADO. The friend from the city arrived first and sat down at a table, looking around wistfully, we hadn't met for a long time. Soon, the other friend came running in, with a smile so big her teeth almost popped out.
"What a thrill to see you after so long!" exclaimed the friend from town.
So we waited for nothing and immediately ordered a pizza with extra bacon and cream cheese border. It really is an extremely divine pizza.
We sat down to enjoy a delicious pizza, recalling anecdotes from their childhood and laughing as if time had never passed. They talked about their lives, their loves, their failures and their successes. And between bites, they realized that, despite the distance and time, their friendship was still as strong as the melted cheese on the pizza.
"We should do this more often."
And so we spent a delicious afternoon, amidst laughter and pizza crumbs, the friends promised never to let each other out of their sight again. Because a true friendship is like a good pizza: it always leaves you wanting more.
What a delightful meeting. I hope friends will always stick together.

How nice it is to meet friends again, reminisce about old times, and catch up.
Last year I had two reunions with great friends and I hope that this year there will be more for all of us who live in this Venezuela where so many have left.
