Weekend engagement week 238: My 2024 Review

in Weekend Experiences β€’ 6 days ago

Hello people,
Happy weekend,
Welcome to the last weekend in the year 2024 πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ
God has been so so faithful, may His name alone be praise.Amen.

Review your 2024 explaining what your goals were, which you attained and did not, and why you did or did not achieve them.

2024 was a year i had many dreams, expectations, aspirations and dreams, I wrote it down in my jotter so I don't forget it in other fulfill this dreams of mine, I joined weekly women contribution, so that when is my turn I can used to t sort out things no matter what but as I stepped into the year, my country Nigeria became too hot to penetrate, I had faith but despite my best efforts, my goals remained just out of reach. I had set clear goals for myself at the beginning of the year: to move into a new home, buy a new set of parlor couch, purchase a car, and update my wardrobe with new dresses and shoes. Each of these goals felt like a stepping stone toward the life I envisioned for myself. However, as the months rolled by, reality proved to be more challenging than anticipated.

Things became so hard and life itself became more challenging and I became frustrated as a woman who is in labour praying to God for safe delivery. My finance instead of increasing, decreased to it lowest minimum and I just prayed to survive and goals became an invisible thing in my life.
I had to prioritize needs over my goals just to survive till the end of the year. Moving into a new home, for instance, required resources and planning that I couldn’t fully manage, especially with rising living costs and unexpected expenses. Similarly, the idea of buying a car felt farer and farer away.

Buying a parlor couch or updating my wardrobe, seemed more achievable, but even those fell by the wayside as I focused on handling immediate needs like everyday food just to stay alive.

Despite the setbacks and my inability to achieve my goals, I learned a lot about this year, I learnt financial management, hunger management and thank God I did not have ulcer this year, I learned the ability to adapt and the act of contentment as I did not purchase or change my wallrobe this year still I have hope for a great 2025 and I strongly believe that 2025 will be much more better than 2024.

As the year is ending I am determined to carry over and I am approaching the year 2025 with good vibes and strength and engaging a different strategy to achieve my goals which still remain and in 2025 I will achieve it.

Thank you @galenkp for giving me this weekend to reflect on my set goals and I have decided to carry over, thank you. Love you.

Enjoy your last weekend in the year 2024, see you all in 2025
